Justin Blinn, AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Associate Principal
Justin’s rural upbringing is at the heart of his practice. An architect with 10 years of experience, his work ethic, values, and integrity stems from growing up on a working family farm in New York. So does his deep attachment to the environment and his interest in crafting places that connect people to each other and to the natural world. For him, the integration of nature in architecture – in all forms and levels of intervention – provides essential moments of spiritual connection that elude us in our increasingly urban lives. His work is also informed by a keen interest in the phenomenology of built space.

An exceptionally-able project administrator, Justin’s straightforward and thoughtful approach to project leadership puts clients at the center of his focus. His mad technical skills, agility with Sketchup and REVIT, and quest for building more efficiently and economically has also benefited assignments that range from the award-winning Don Fisher Clubhouse and BART/Muni Entrance Enclosure design to PG&E’s Larkin Street Substation Expansion and a number of historic building upgrades in the Presidio of San Francisco. His diverse portfolio also encompasses a number of healthcare facilities, multifamily housing, and higher education assignments.

Justin studied architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree. If he’s not at a construction site when he’s outdoors, you’ll probably find him on a hiking trail, communing with nature.
