An expansive glass curtain wall and dramatic fly tower define an iconic new campus landmark and inviting cultural arts destination for City College of San Francisco. Designed in joint venture with LMN architects, the LEED Gold targeted complex anchors a new western academic neighborhood on the footprint of a former reservoir, organized around a crescent shaped green commons and generating synergy between the existing and expanded campus. Flexible, rehearsal and performance spaces - including a 650-seat auditorium, 150-seat recital hall, and 150-seat studio theater -- support learning and multidisciplinary exploration between the departments of music and theater arts.
