Over more than two decades, David has developed a strong understanding of how complex buildings work and is skilled at untangling the technical and regulatory challenges that can complicate ambitious projects. His experience spans higher education, recreation, and community projects, reflecting his belief that ambitious design should create lasting value for the people and institutions it serves.
That perspective is evident in two of his most significant projects. The Don Fisher Clubhouse, the new headquarters for the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco, reflects his interest in architecture that strengthens community and earned both a Design Citation Award and a Social Responsibility Commendation from AIA San Francisco. At UC Berkeley’s Undergraduate Academic Building, the campus’s first mass timber project, David helped translate an ambitious structural and sustainability strategy into a clear, buildable design. Together, the projects reflect the range of his work and his ability to apply steady judgment to unfamiliar, technically demanding challenges.
